Local events and lectures

The Clay Lane apiary is open to all members on Saturday from 2.00pm during the summer. These meetings are open to new beekeepers and old hands alike. They are a good opportunity to catch up with friends (and maybe learn something!).

Live bees - caution!
Please bring protective clothing. Bees have been known to take exception to certain strong smells - for this reason, please avoid wearing perfume, aftershave or scented shampoo when visiting the bees.

During the autumn and winter months we have a program of lectures and discussions about beekeeping (shown below).

Please note there are many more beekeeping events going on in Devon - click here for the list on the DBKA website.

Please note - live bee demonstrations will necessitate attendees to wear protective bee suits. Thank you.
